Description

Aqueous suspension of Oxfendazol 5 % to administer orally or intraruminally in the treatment of different species of endoparasitosis, with action on adults, larvae and eggs.

Indications

For the treatment and control of gastrointestinal and pulmonary parasitosis caused by the main genus of roundworm and flatworm parasites, for example: Trichostrongylus sp., Ostertagia sp., Haemonchus sp., Cooperia sp., Oesophagostomun sp., Chabertia sp., Strongilus sp., Neoascaris sp., Nematodirus sp., Oxiuris sp., Parascaris sp., Moniezia sp., Dictyocaulus sp

For use on cattle, sheep, horses and goats.

Oral intake.

Dosage

Except otherwise prescribed by vet, administer:

AnimalSuggested dose
Cattle5 ml per 100 kg live weight (equivalent to 2.5 mg of Oxfendazol per kg live weight). Diagnosed hypobiotic larvae of Ostertagias sp.: double dose (10 ml per 100 kg live weight).
Sheep and goats1 ml per 10 kg live weight ( 5 mg Oxfendazol per kg live weight).When there are no more taeniasis or hypobiotic larvae, dose can be reduced by half.
Horses10 ml per 50 kg live weight (10 mg Oxfendazol per kg live weight).

Precautions and contraindications

  • Handle with care, use clothing that prevents contact with skin.
  • Avoid contamination of food. Avoid eating, drinking or smoking while working.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • In case of accidental contamination of eyes or skin, rinse with plenty of running water.

Use restrictions

  • For human consumption, at least 14 days should elapse between last treatment and slaughter.
  • Do not use milk for human consumption or dairy industry until 5 days have elapsed from end of treatment.
