Description

Clenbuterol, active monodrug of DILA-T Bronquial, is a sympathomimetic amine that acts on beta-2 receptors of the bronchial muscles, causing bronchodilation, acceleration of the obstructive mucus expulsion and pulmonary ventilation. It also acts on the myometrium of several species anticonstrictively.

Clenbuterol Hydrochloride	3750 µg
Double distilled water q.s.	100 ml.

Indications

• Bronchodilator. Bronchial spasmolytic. Treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
• Associated with antibiotics in cases of acute bronchitis, bronchopneumonia and bronchopulmonary infections.
• It can be used discontinuously to prevent allergic reactions.
At uterine level, it acts as spasmolytic, delaying labor and/or making easy obstetric maneuvers

Route of administration

Slow intravenous or intramuscular injection.

Dosage

Except otherwise prescribed by vet, administer 1 ml per 50 kg live weight, twice a day.

In acute and subacute processes, treatment will last 10 to 15 days. In chronic processes, 30 days.

As tocolytic, 10 ml or at the discretion of the animal health professional.

Precautions and contraindications

• Do not use together with corticoids, except when results with clenbuterol are unsatisfactory.
• Stop treatment in animals during gestation period two days before labor, due to its anticonstrictive action on the uterus.
• It acts as an antagonist of oxytocin and prostaglandin F2 Alpha.
• When combining it with atropine, take into account that both substances increase heart rate.

Use restrictions

• Only for sport horses. Do not administer to animals for human consumption.
