Description

Sodium iodide injection solution 60 %. Antiseptic, antimycotic, resolvent and expectorant.

Composition

Component	Quantity
Sodium iodide	60 gr.
Distilled water q.s.	100 ml

Indications

Coadyuvant in the treatment of fungal diseases. Actinomycosis, actinobacillosis and sporotrichosis. Resolvent and expectorant in horses.

Route of administration

Only slow intravenous injection.

Dosage

Animal	Recommended dosage
Cattle	10 ml per 100 kg live weight. Repeat 4 days later.
Horses	10 ml/day, during 5 days.

Precautions and contraindications

• It can cause miscarriage in pregnant females.
• It can make respiratory tract acute processes worse.
• In case of adverse reactions due to iodine sensitivity (iodism), stop treatment immediately.

Use restrictions

• Do not use milk or meat for human consumption until 7 days have elapsed from end of treatment.
